A light-heavyweight title fight between former champions Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill will go down later tonight (Jan. 18) on the main card of UFC 311 at the Intuit Dome in California.
Prochazka (30-5-1) and Hill (12-2 and 1 NC) share an interesting connection. Both of them have losses against reigning champion Alex Pereira. 'BJP' has suffered two knockout losses to 'Poatan' and Hill, one.
Suffice it to say both fighters would be hoping to claim a decisive win this weekend and earn a chance at retribution against the hard-hitting Brazilian.
Prochazka is 3-2 in his last five, with his most recent win coming via TKO against Aleksandar Rakic. 'Sweet Dreams' is 4-1, with his last win coming in 2023, against former champion Glover Teixeira.

Prochazka starts the action with a low kick. Hill is trying to get his jabs going and gauge the distance. A slick left hand connects for 'BJP'. Hill connects with a right hand and follows it up with a knee.
Prochazka has his hands down as usual, something Hill would be hoping to take advantage of. 'BJP' connects with a right hand from range then sits his opponent down with a straight left hand.
'Sweet Dreams' however recovers and returns the fire with a powerful left hand. A back-and-forth action ensues and Hill is missing with his shots and Prochazka is catching him on the counter.
Hill is starting to find his rhythm, with his punches starting to find the target. 'Sweet Dream's' nose is bloodied up.

As the second round unfolds 'BJP' is using teeps kick to keep his opponent at range. Hill connects with a power jab and his opponent partially lands a leaping knee strike.
The action stops momentarily due to an eye poke from 'BJP'. As the fight restarts Hill goes on the offense. Prochazka stuns the American with a left hand. Another eye poke, this time from Hill, once again pauses the action.
As the fight restarts a big right hand lands for Prochazka, shorts after Hill returns fire with a right hand of his own. Two powerful right-hands land for 'Sweet Dreams'.
Both fighters are landing it's going to be a grueling task to score the round. Hill lands a right hand to the midsection seemingly hurting his opponent.

As the final round unfolds both fighters are using feints to keep their opponent guessing. A high kick partially lands for 'BJP. He stuns 'Sweet Dreams' with a right hand. 'BJP' rallies for a finish, but Hill stops him in the tracks with a slick combination.
Prochazka lands a right hand to the body and follows it up with a teep kick. Hill returns fire with a debilitating elbow. Wow!!! 'BJP' bursts forward with a left hand and then lines up a nuclear right hand that sits his opponent down.
While Hill gets back to his feet, the Czech national puts him down once again with another right, before finishing the show with ground and pound.
